How to Use Aura

Getting Started

When you open Aura, you'll see the Aura logo, quick-start preset capsules, a sound carousel of 19 available sounds, and a floating controller that appears once sounds start playing.

Playing & Managing Sounds

Tap any sound capsule to layer it into your mix. Available sounds include Water (Rain, Waves), Weather (Thunder, Wind), Nature (Forest, Birds), Ambience, and Noise.

  • Remove: Double-tap an icon tile or swipe it upward.
  • Clear: Tap the X button to stop all sounds.
  • Waveform: Each sound has a matching color wave that reacts to audio levels.

Volume Control

  • M (Master): Controls device system volume.
  • S (Sound): Individual volume. Tap a sound's icon tile first to select it, then adjust the S slider.

FAQs

No sound playing?

Ensure Silent Mode is off and volume is up. Check that at least one sound tile is visible in the Now Playing row.

Offline support

Yes, Aura works completely offline. All sounds are bundled with the app.

Battery life

Aura is optimized using Apple's AVFoundation. Locking your device while audio plays will save the most power.

  • No account or login required.
  • No usage analytics or tracking.
  • No network requests are made by the app.

Permissions

We access Audio Playback (for sounds), System Volume (for control), and Now Playing Info (for lock screen display). We do not access your microphone or any personal data.
